2023 FOREST GIS WORKSHOP

Foresters, students and natural resource professionals are invited to join a two-day refresher course on GIS tools. This two day workshop offers guided training about managing and editing data, best cartographic practices and spatial analysis. Previous experience with GIS is helpful but not required.

 

This workshop is hosted collaboratively by Sierra College, the California Association of Resource Conservation Districts, and UC Cooperative Extension. Space is limited. The workshop will be held in Room V-318 at Sierra College.

 

Topics will include:

Introduction to ArcGIS Pro, ESRI’s newest version of their desktop GIS software
Data management tips and tricks
Cartographic design
